Students aspiring for B.Architecture must appear for the JEE Main 2014 Paper 2 which is offline while engineering aspirants must appear for the JEE Main 2014 Paper 1 which is both online and offline.
For eg. in Tamilnadu, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) who conducts the JEE Main, has allocated JEE Main 2014 Online Exam Centres in Chennai, Cuddalore, Dindigul, Kanyakumari, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Thanjavur, Tiruvannamalai, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Trichy, Vellore, Villupuram and Virudhunagar
Coimbatore and Madurai centres have both options. Students from Chennai and other cities who wish to appear for JEE Main 2014 Paper 1 in offline mode or Paper 2 will have to travel to Puducherry, Coimbatore or Madurai, depending on a first-come-first-served basis.
Many students are in a dilemma as they do not want to take the stress of travelling so far to write the exam and hope CBSE will announce some more offline exam centres for such students. This is the case for many states where the offline centres are far and few putting the students to a lot of trouble.
.Many parents and students feels alike that all metros should have been given the option of being an offline and an online centre as a majority of students appear from these cities for both the papers ofJEE Main 2014.
